My Passion:
Telling a story through Photography.   My studio's signature - to tell your story.

A photographer is an artist who sees the world in a different way and uses the camera as a tool to capture an image in order to bring feeling and drama to something
that others may overlook as ordinary.

Short Bio:
Photography and art have been a passion of mine since childhood! Having lived in New Orleans and the surrounding areas all my life, what a blessing I have had to be able to work with such a variety of beautiful and unique landscapes and architecture right in my “backyard” - truly a photographer’s dream!
The camera is simply the tool the photographer
uses to see, compose and capture the
beauty God has created.
My love for photography and the arts has flourished over the years from taking art lessons at a very young age, to auditioning and entering the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and studying at the New Orleans Museum of Art in my high school years, to graduating from the Photography Institute in New York and continuing a never ending journey of studying under Master photographers, attending seminars and workshops and striving always to further develop my skills as a photographer. I picked up my first camera probably right after I could walk, was a serious amateur photographer since my teenage years, grew into doing freelance work in street photography, professional legal photography, and then began focusing more on the art of photography by creating artistic photographs that evolve into works of art. My love for photography doesn’t stop there. Since I was never able to see myself as fitting into only one area of photography, I began photographing special occasions and weddings for friends and family. Eventually, with the incredible support of my husband Jeff, we opened my studio and now have a full fine art collection of photography and offer my gift of photography in capturing those special moments in people’s lives!
Love the quote from Ansel Adams:
“You don’t take a photograph, you make it.”
I have been so blessed to come from a family gifted in the arts. My great grandfather, Joseph Aiena, was a New Orleans artist who created the map “Plantations on the Mississippi River from Natchez to New Orleans” (a piece that is found in many venues across the south), and designed labels for Jax Brewery, Morton Salt and many others. Through the years I witnessed my father and siblings displaying many of the inherited artistic abilities. After exploring different art mediums, I found my love in photography and using the camera as a tool to capture the beauty God has created. I feel truly blessed to have won numerous awards for many of my photographs and to have captured so many timeless memories for so many wonderful people.

Graphic Designer:
When you hire me as your professional photographer you are getting more than just a photographer. I am skilled in graphic design and personally design all photos and albums.  Like my portraits, each album is designed with the concept of telling your story
